Chris and I are sitting in the Qantas lounge in Singapore waiting to head off to NZ. We are taking a bit of a long way around (possibly), but since Qantas was $3000 for 2 seats, and Singapore Airlines was $14000 or something ridiculous, we are going via Australia. Actually, to get to Wellington it kind of makes sense anyway.
Chris was a bit disappointed that we were going to the Qantas lounge after experiencing the Singapore lounge, but I think she is reasonably happy now having found some pizza and other substantial food, after a first look suggested there wouldn’t be much to eat. The lounge is nice and spacious and it is good to be able to do some last minute things on the computer before leaving.
We will be in Wellington, Levin, and Hawkes Bay and are looking forward to seeing the kids.
